POST REFUSED BY MR DE VALERA
PRESIDENCY OF FREE STATE (Received October 15, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 15. The Dublin correspondent of The Daily Telegraph says Mr Eamon de Valera, who is at present President of the Executive Council of the Free State, has refused the post of President of the Free State, the new position under constitution operating from December 29. It is understood he has nominated a man living in Northern Ireland whose election will symbolize his desire for unity.
