DEATH OF SAMOAN HIGH CHIEF

(Received October 15, 6.30 p.m.) APIA, October 14. The High Chief Tupua Tui Malealiifano, one of the two advisers in the administration of Samoan affairs has died. His age records are not clear, but it is reckoned that he was over 90. He was Fautua previous to 1928 and resigned to join the Mau movement. He was reappointed Fautua by the unanimous recommendation of the Samoans after the visit of the goodwill mission. The funeral will proceed Jo the chiefs’ burial place at Mulinuu today.
