DEATH BY NATURAL CAUSES

SUICIDE SUGGESTION DISPROVED (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 15. At the inquest today new light was thrown on the cause of the death of Mrs Elsie Patricia Metge, disposing of any suggestion of suicide. The circumstances previously reported were that on October 5 Mrs Metge telephoned her husband at his work and said, “I’m lost, I’m lost.” He took a taxi home and found her in a state of delirium, from which she lapsed into unconsciousness and died next day. At the first sitting of the inquest mention was made of the finding of a bottle which had contained insecticide for garden use. However, the medical evidence today showed the cause of death to have been acute miliary tuberculosis and toxic nephritis in one of the organs. The Coroner, Mr F. K. Hunt, found accordingly.
