FALL DOWN FLIGHT OF STAIRS (United Press Association) WANGANUI, October 1. Resulting from injuries received when he fell down a flight of stairs at the Cadora Hall, Wanganui, on Thursday night, James McClintock, a widower, aged 59 years, succumbed in the Wanganui Hospital this evening. The cause of the accident is not known but it is assumed that McClintock tripped while ascending the stairs and fell backwards. SEAMAN STRUCK BY TRAIN DUNEDIN, October 1. Shortly after 7 o’clock this evening Angus McKay, aged 47 years, a seaman on the Holmglen, was struck by an incoming train from Mosgiel on the Rattray street level crossing and suffered injuries from which he died on his way to hospital. He was born in Scotland and as far as can be ascertained had no relatives in New Zealand.
