PETROLEUM IN SICILY REPORTED
BIOLOGIST RECEIVED BY MUSSOLINI (Received September 19, 6.30 p.m.) ROME, September 17. Signor Mussolini today received Signor Guiseppi Tallarico, who claims to have discovered petroleum in Calabria (Sicily). Signor Tallarico presented Signor Mussolini with a small bottle of oil which he declared was of excellent quality. Signor Tallarico is a deputy, in the Italian Parliament and a noted biologist. It is reported that a company will be formed to exploit deposits in Italy first.
