SCHOOLBOY’S PARDONABLE MISTAKE
The following schoolboy “howler” was published in a Christchurch paper: In a class at a North Christchurch school the pupils had been asked to name three great inventors and their inventions. One little boy’s answer was outstanding. His verdict was: “Stephenson’s Steam Engine, Wright Brothers’ Aeroplanes, and Baxters Lung Preserver.” The teacher queried the inclusion of “Baxters,” but the little boy was quite sure of himself. He explained that he had often heard his father say that “Baxters” was “the best ever invented.” It was nearly 80 years ago that Baxters Lung Preserver was first made in New Zealand, since when it has won the confidence of one and all. Children and grown-ups show wonderful faith in this wonderful remedy, which certainly gives quickest and most complete relief for any cough, cold, hoarseness, sore throat and chest trouble. “Baxter’s” tonic action is also much appreciated. “Baxters” is the “best seller” at all chemists and stores in New Zealand. 1/6. 2/6 and 4/6. —Advt.
