NEW ZEALAND LOSES SECOND TEST

BEATEN BY 13 POINTS TO SIX DECISIVE VICTORY OF BETTER TEAM (From Our Special Reporter) CHRISTCHURCH, September 4. Brilliant team-work, carried out almost to perfection by 15 players whose objective was orthodox football and little else, enabled the South African Rugby team to beat New Zealand in the second Test at Christchurch today. The Springboks scored a decisive victory. Although only two tries were included in the 13 points scored by them, their success was clear-cut in every way. The All Blacks were superior only in the loose forward rushes. South Africa won by 13 points to six. All of the points were scored at the south end of the ground, New Zealand scoring its points in the first half, and South Africa its points in the second. Tremendous interest was taken in the game, and a crowd estimated at 40,000 filled Lancaster Park. Th® crowded embankment and stands provided a wonderful sight. There were visitors from all over New Zealand, including more than 800 from Southland. Light rain fell during the morning, but the weather was ideal during the game. The sky was dull, but there was no rain. The ground was soft and in places slippery.
