LAW REFORM
COMMITTEE SET UP BY GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED (Special to The Times.) WELLINGTON, August 25. The personnel of the Law Reform Committee set up by the Government to investigate certain questions of law reform was announced today by the Attorney-General (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason) who stated also that the committee will hold its first meeting tomorrow. The Minister is chairman, and other members are: The Chief Justice (the Hon. Sir Michael Myers). The Solicitor-General (Mr H. H. Cornish). Two members of the New Zealand Law Society, Mr K. M. Gresson and Mr W. J. Sim, both of Christchurch. One of the members of the law faculties of the New Zealand University, Mr A. C. Stephens, of Dunedin. Mr B. L. Dallard, Under-Secretary for Justice. The committee was set up at the request of the law conference held in Dunedin. One of the matters which the Minister intimated early this month as likely to receive its early consideration is the utility or otherwise of the Grand Jury.
