MYSTERIOUS PLANE OVER LONDON

LOW FLYING STUNTS AT MIDNIGHT (Received July 18, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 17. A “mystery” aeroplane which has recently frightened Londoners by low flying stunts at midnight reappeared over central London early this morning, flying at about 500 ft. Hundreds saw it at 12.15 a.m. passing over Trafalgar Square. The fuselage and wings were plainly visible in the glare of the street lights. It was still circling over West End at 12.30 a.m., but soon disappeared northwards. It had previously passed over the Air Ministry, where efforts are being made to discover its identity.
