TREASURE OF SPANISH CONQUISTADORES
GOLD BARS FOUND IN MEXICO MEXICO CITY, July 16. Talks of a fabulously rich lost gold mine worked by the Spanish conquistadores were revived by a report that miners in the Chiriqui province found 35 gold bars, each 501 b and worth altogethei 900,000 dollars. They also found the Spanish colonial arms on the crude gold washing equipment. The police are guarding the gold pending a Government claim to ownership.
