A NEW TRIAL ORDERED
ALLEGED THEFT OF CATTLE (United Press Association) BLENHEIM, July 17. After a retirement of over four hours the jury disagreed and the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) ordered a new trial of Leonard Alma Turner, a stock dealer, of Pelorus Valley, on a charge of the theft of three head of cattle. Although offered a new trial during the Nelson sessions next week, accused elected to wait four months till the next Blenheim sessions. Bail was allowed on a surety of £lOO, and self £lOO.
