CONCERT AT BORSTAL

MISS HARVEY’S PARTY One of the most looked forward to events at the Borstal Institution is the annual concert given by Miss M. Harvey and her party, and Saturday night’s programme probably excelled those of previous years in variety and presentation. The programme given was as follows: Pianoforte solos with orchestral accompaniment, Graham McKillop; tap dancing, songs and acrobatic turns, Miss Margaret Grindley; accordion duos, H. Souness and C. Swan; Highland fling, Mavis Todd; saxophone solo, Mr B. Marthelow; clog danqe, Miss G McKinley; dance duos, R. Smith and W. Crawford, Edna Campbell and E. Birse: comic songs, Mr R. Smith; violin duets, Mr Harvey and son. Miss M Harvey contributed solos and acted as accompaniste. Mr R. W Arnold, the superintendent, thanked the party on behalf of the lads for its excellent entertainment.
