The work of discharging and loading the New Zealand Sh'pping Company’s motorliner Rangitiki Is progressing steadily, with many watersiders employed. The big vessel I is due to complete and sail early In the coming week for Port Chalmers. The Union Company’s inter-colonial steamer Waikouaiti left Port Chalmers at 2.30 pan. yesterday and should berth at Bluff for an 8 o’clock start this morning. She sails on completion of working for Sydney. The Surrey is to leave Montreal on July 29 for Wellington, where she is due on September 2, and Australia. The Mataroa left Southampton last Friday for Auckland, Port Chalmers, and Bluff. She is due at Auckland on August 12. The New Zealand Star left London last Thursday for Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Wellington on August 10. The Auckland Harbour Board advises that the beacon with black cage surmount marking the reef off the north end of Motulhi. which was recently damaged, has now been replaced. The black buoy temporarily marking the reef has been removed. On her first voyage to New Zealand the Yamashlta Kisen Kaisha vessel Kozen Maru will arrive at Auckland today. In addition to 600 tons of general cargo, she carries 2000 tons of sulphur.
