HEAVY DEATH ROLL AND HUNDREDS INJURED (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received May 24, 11.55 p.m.) WARSAW, May 24. There was a heavy death roll and hundreds were injured as a result of floods in central Poland. Fifty villages were submerged and others are menaced; thousands of head of cattle were drowned. Many houses were swept away, and the inhabitants are marooned on the roofs of others. Terror-stricken convicts in a prison near Krakow wrenched at the bars as the waters advanced and shrieked to be released, but the waters were stemmed. A school house containing a teacher and 15 children was swept away. _______
