BILBAO BOMBED BY REBELS

BASQUES ADVANCE IN FIELD

s BILBAO, May 11. Aware that it was over-crowded with refugees, the rebels delivered 10 aerial bombing raids on Bilbao, more or less ineffectively and accomplishing nothing of military value. Meanwhile the Basque battalions on the fighting front recaptured the heights of the Sollube mountain, inflicting 1000 casualties. The insurgents heavily shelled Madrid. Fifty-five persons were killed and 130 were wounded.
