(J. E. Watson and Co.). GENERAL NOTES The motor-vessel Ranui arrived from Stewart Island at 9.15 a.m. yesterday. The schooner Britannia sailed at 11 am. yesterday for Stewart Island. The motor-vessel Tamatea sailed for Milford Sound with passengers and general cargo at 10.15 am. yesterday. The Union Company’s steamer Waimarino sailed last night for Dunedin. The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Karetu is due at Bluff early this morning from Sydney. J. G. Ward and Company advise that the Canadian Conqueror is now expected to reach Bluff on May 28, leaving that port the following day for Wellington. The Waitaki from Melbourne is due at Bluff on May 17. The Union Steam Ship Company advises that the Westmoreland is now due at Bluff from Timaru on June 8 and leaves the following day for Port Chalmers. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., have received cabled advice that the YK.K. Line steamer Kelfuku Maru cleared Milke on May 6 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on May 28. The Maimoa, which was to leave Liverpool on June 5 for Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff, has now been replaced b? the Waimana. She is due at Auckland on July 14. Cabled advice has been received that the Surrey cleared Halifax on May 5. She left Wellington on April 2 for Halifax, London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal.

LONDON’S SHIPPING During the week ended March 19, 1302 vessels representing 952,448 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these 498 vessels (704,565 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports and 804 vessels (247,883 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included six meat cargoes, viz: two from Australia, two from ?ew Zealand and two from South America, comprising 395,000 carcasses of lamb and mutton, 65,000 packages of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits and sundries.
