FARM LABOUR

To The Editor

Sir,—A letter in this morning’s paper signed “Worker” only repeats much of what has been already stated in your columns by myself and others, without result To think of the thousands of loafers that are being supported in oui towns by taxation and then to read of the agitation that is put forward for further immigration, makes one wonder what next. The country is crymg out for labour and only a few, many of whom are old hands, are left to do it and then taxed on their earning to help keep the class referred to. If the authorities consider this sort of thing can continue then they must be credited with being extreme optimists.— VnilKQ pfp ’ ’’ ANOTHER WORKER. May 13, 1937.
