MOOREFIELD MEETING DUTIFUL WINS (Received April 25, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 25. The New Zealand horse Dutiful revelled in the soft going at Moorefield today and won the Maiden Plate in hollow fashion. The Philamor filly Philight, having her first race, finished sixth in the Juvenile Handicap for fillies. Late Night was second in the Juvenile Handicap for colts and geldings. Tlie chief results were: MAIDEN PLATE, £l5O. Weight-for-age. One mile Dutiful 8.5 (E. Bartie) 1 Old Rowley 8.5 (F. Hickey) 2 Brass 8.8 (S. Trenear) 3 Eleven started. Won by four lengths, third three lengths away. Time, 1.46. MOOREFIELD HANDICAP, £175. One mjle and a-quarter Grand Warbler 7.3 (Lappan) 1 Linklet 7.5 (Glover 2 Silver Coat 6.11 (E. Britt) 3 Eight started. Won by a neck, third a length and a-half away. Time, 2.10. Housemaster was unplaced in the Flying Welter, second division. MENTONE FIXTURES NEW ZEALANDERS BEATEN MELBOURNE, April 25. At the Mentone races Palatinate was third in the Somme Welter Handicap (£3OO, seven furlongs), first division. Greenhorn was unplaced in the Bullecourt Hurdle Race. Silver Bond was unplaced in the Damascus Handicap (five furlongs), second division. Shining Gold was unplaced in the Somme Welter Handicap, second division. RACING AT BRISBANE JOCULAR SCORES (Received April 25, 6.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, April 25. At the Doomben races, the main event resulted: , QUALITY HANDICAP. Six furlongs Jocular 7.2 (Stone) 1 Manresa 7.11 (Shelton) 2 Leo Emblem 8.4 (Maxwell) 3 Fifteen started, including Grand Mogul, which was heavily backed, but broke down.
