WOMAN KILLED
MOTOR FATALITY IN ELLES ROAD DAUGHTER DRIVER OF CAR Struck by a car driven by her daughter, Flora Millard, widow, aged 46, of 255 Herbert street, was killed instantly on Saturday night. The accident occurred in Elies road just south of King street. The driver of the car was Miss Leonore Millard, aged 20. Mrs Millard left her home early on Saturday evening to visit a friend in Elies road. Her daughter had been attending a function in the city and on leaving drove down Dee street and up Gala street, turning north along Elies road. It was a coincidence that at the same time Mrs Millard was leaving her friend’s home. Mr R. Harper had backed his car out of a right of way to take Mrs Millard home and as he reached the middle of the road he saw a car approaching. Mr Harper pulled up in order o let the other car past. As Miss Millard was about to pass on the west side her mother ran out from Mr Harper’s house with her head down intending to enter Mr Harper’s car on the west side. Evidently she did not see the other car approaching and ra_. into it.
