ALLEGED ATTACK BY HUSBAND

ELDERLY WOMAN RECEIVES SERIOUS INJURIES (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 5. Mrs Mary Gage-Brown, aged 78 years, was admitted to the hospital with serious head injuries and is not expected to live. It is alleged she was attacked in her home at Epsom with a four-pound scale weight at 6.30 this morning. Her husband was discharged from a hospital institution three weeks ago, his wife giving the authorities an undertaking that she would not hold them responsible for anything that might happen. The husband was taken back to the hospital institution.
