JAPANESE PEARLERS WARNED
ACTIVITIES IN TIMOR SEA DARWIN, April 5. Seventeen Japanese pearling luggers found at the Island of Buribah in the Crocodile Group were warned off the coast by the master of the northern patrol boat Larrakia. The luggers had been regularly calling at the island for food and water. After the Customs regulations had been explained to them the captains of the luggers declared that in future they would call at Darwin, which is 400 miles from the pearling grounds.
