The Grasper appeared for the first time in Mr A. S. Elworthy’s colours when he ran second in the highweight event at Motukarara. He has pleased in his work since he went to Riccarton, about six weeks ago. Success in this race would have brought his winnings to above the hack limit. The Grasper has won five races in the Hawke’s Bay district
