REPERTORY SOCIETY

COMMITTEE MEETING A meeting of the committee of the Invercargill Repertory Society was held on Thursday to consider the annual report and balance-sheet which will be presented at the annual general meeting on March 10. The president, Mr Denniston Cuthbertson, congratulated the committee on the success of the past season, and expressed the belief that the coming season would see a big increase in membership. It was reported that a big number of boolss and sets of plays would arrive shortly to form the nucleus of a dramatic library for members and. producers, and a room had been obtained for the storage of the society’s properties and costumes. Two one-act plays were already in rehearsal for the opening- night on March 23 and four more would go into rehearsal immediately.
