ACADEMY’S AWARDS FOR 1936
(Received March 5, 11.20 p.m.) ■HOLLYWOOD, March 5. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announces the following awards for 1936. Best performance by an actress: Luise Rainer in “The Great Ziegfeld.” Best actor: Paul Muni in “The Story of Louis Pasteur.” Best supporting actress: Gail Sondergaard in “Anthony Adverse.” Best supporting actor: Walter Brenman in “Come and Get it.” Best production: “The Great Ziegfeld.” Best direction: Frank Capra’s in “Mr Deeds Goes to Town.”
