COLLAPSE IN CHAIR (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 4. When sitting in a chair of a hairdressing salon early this afternoon Mrs Mary Sears, of Remuera, fell to the floor and suffered concussion. She was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the ambulance. Her condition later was reported to be not serious. FALL OVER CLIFF FACE (United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, March .4. Descending the brink of a cliff face at Patea in search of a tyre which had been discarded in error, William Lacey, a car painter, was swept from his hold on the rope by a fall of earth and fell over 100 feet to the beach, where he was covered with debris. He was found buried in the debris. Several men released him and a doctor was lowered down the cliff by a rope to render assistance. Twenty men worked for two hours hauling the injured man up the cliff on a motor-car cushion. He was later taken to the hospital. Lacey suffered from head injuries and abrasions, but the extent of his injuries is not known tonight.

FOUND INJURED ON ROADSIDE (United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, March 4. Found lying injured on the roadside at Mount Messenger this evening, N. A. E. Kelly, a canvasser, of Lyall Bay, Wellington, was admitted to the New Plymouth hospital tonight, suffering from abrasions and probably a fractured rib. Though Kelly was known to have been canvassing the district in a motorcar, the men who found him saw no trace of a car at Mount Messenger and Kelly was unable to give an account of how he received the injuries. run over by a railway WAGON (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, March 4. During shunting operations at Seacliff at 7.10 this morning, Rowland Neilson Familton, aged 24 years, a relieving railway clerk, was killed when a wagon ran over him. After applying the brakes on some trucks he jumped directly in front of five wagons on another set of rails and was run down, not realizing that shunting operations were in progress there. Deceased was a native of Oamaru, and had represented North Otago in Rugby. He was also a good swimmer, participating in a gallant rescue at Campbell’s Bay some time ago. ___________
