WOMEN’S DIVISION

KAUANA BRANCH The first meeting of the year was held on Wednesday, when Mrs R. Anderson, jun., presided over an attendance of fifteen members. An invitation was received to the Limehills Women’s Institute’s birthday party. It was decided to have an evening in April in aid of the Winton Plunket Society’s funds. A presentation of a Savings Bank book was made to Mrs R. Anderson’s baby son. The “bloom” competition was won by Mrs R. Butts and the “Date and Nut Loaf” competition by Mrs J. Gill. After the business had been dealt with, a social half-hour was held. A paper competition was won by Mrs J. Gill, with Mrs Bolger second and the lucky cup by Mrs M. Rabbitte. The hostess was Mrs Bartlett.
