The Union Steamship Company of New Zealand, owners of the Kakariki today issued a High Court write claiming from the owners of the Caradale £50,000 damages, alleged to be occasioned by the recent collision. The Caradale was arrested today when under the authority of the High Court a sheriffs officer nailed a writ to the mast.
