The monthly meeting of the Gala street kindergarten was held in the school room on Thursday, the president, Mrs B. Eastlake, presiding over a good attendance of members. A special vote of thanks was passed to the business people who made donations to the committee’s official collectors on the occasion of the annual street day effort. The winners of the competitions were: Duchess set, No. 31, Miss Jennings; coal, No. 328, Mrs Crosbie.
