TOBACCO TRADE DISPUTE

NO AGREEMENT ON QUESTION OF WAGES. (United Press Association.) Wellington, October 18. No agreement was reached on the question of wages at the adjourned hearing by the Conciliation Council on Saturday of the dispute between the Wellington Tobacco and Related Trades Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers and W. D. and H. O. Wills, Ltd., Wellington, the National Tobacco Company, Ltd., Napier, and others. The question of wages, therefore, is to be referred to the Arbitration Court. An agreement was reached on tire other clauses.
