NO WORK FOR RUSSIAN GOLD-MINERS
SOVIET MINES UNABLE TO ABSORB ENGINEERS. (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, September 26. Messrs D. and C. Borcovsky, two Russian gold-mining engineers who settled in New Zealand some years ago, have arrived in Sydney after a fruitless attempt to gain a visa in London to enable them to work in Soviet gold mines.
They were informed by the Soviet Embassy in London that the Soviet gold mines could not absorb the number of experts offering and that they might have to wait six months for appointments. They therefore decided to return to New Zealand.
