(United Press Association.)

Auckland, September 19.

Two steamers, to replace the Matua, which met with a mishap at the Cook Islands on Wednesday, are being despatched by the Union Steam Ship Company. The Watchlin Line’s Port Whangarei leaves at four o’clock on Saturday afternoon for Tonga. The company’s own steamer Waipahi arrived from Gisborne this morning, and sails for Apia and Suva on Tuesday. Both return to Auckland with fruit. The Matua is due at Auckland on September 27.
