SCANDINAVIAN NAVIES

APPLICABILITY OF LONDON TREATY. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.)- Rugby, September 15. A meeting took place at the Foreign Office to-day between representatives of the United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. As in the case of similar discussions which have recently taken place with Russia, Germany and Poland, the meeting considered the terms of the London Naval Treaty of 1936 and the applicability of the Treaty to the navies of the four countries. The discussions centred chiefly on technical questions, and good progress was made. The next meeting will take place on Thursday morning.
