POLAND WINS BALLOON CONTEST

AERONAUTS LAND NEAR WHITE SEA. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Warsaw, September 11. Poland won the Gordon Bennett balloon race for the third time in succession. The result was announced when word was received of the landing of the Polish balloon “Lopp” 1250 miles from Warsaw, near the White Sea. The pilots were compelled to travel 62 miles over roadless country before they were able to send word of their descent.
