GOODS BY VALUELESS CHEQUES. (United Press Association.) Palmerston North, September 11. Alfred Hinton, alias John Liston Hinton, alias Charles Green, a labourer, aged 56, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment on each of three charges of obtaining goods and money from local firms by means of valueless cheques. The terms are to be cumulative.

Hinton was remanded to Wellington on a similar charge.
