Opposite are three turbans from Molyneux which exemplify his use of large natural looking flowers. The black faile taffeta turban above adds large’ mauve orchids at front and a crottle veil. Below, is his hat of deep red carnations posed on brown net and with a brown veil. The third model is of purple violets, with the blooms massed for a forward movement and sewn on separately to show stems on a sheer foundation. The veil is mauve.
