VALUATION OF THE B STATIONS TASK OFFICIALLY BEGUN (United Press Association.) Wellington, September 10. Tire Government has made a start with plans to include B stations , in the national broadcasting service. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon M. J. Savage) stated to-day that Mr J. G. W. T. Pound, a Treasury official and Mr Greene a radio engineer of the Post and Telegraph Department, had begun work valuing these stations. They are now in Auckland, where three stations have to receive attention. “Our objective,” explained the Prime Minister, “is buy all the B stations, if possible, but, if not, we will subsidize them on the basis of a valuation that will have to be agreed upon.”
