HUMAN REMAINS IN MINE

Discovery In N.S.W. Village (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 12.40 a.m.) Sydney, September 10. There is considerable excitement in (he small northern country village of Bingara owing to the discovery of five human skulls, some human bones and a baby’s perambulator at the bottom of a disused mine shaft, 80ft in depth. The remains had apparently been there for a good many years. Detectives are of the opinion that the bodies may possibly have been thrown down the shaft instead of being buried in the usual way in the local cemetery, which is in close proximity, and therefore they are not at present inclined to the theory of foul play. . The remains are believed to be those of women and children.
