Stewart Island

FISHING INDUSTRY The fishing industry is still inconvenienced by the bad weather. So far no fishing has been done this month, which means that for the last two and a-half months the men have been able to earn money on only three or four days. The position is getting serious, and hopes are held that the Government will begin some form of public works on the Island.
