BOMBING STATION SET ON FIRE
THREE WELSHMEN ADMIT COMPLICITY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, September 8. The Rev. L. E. Valentine, of Llandudno, Professor Saunders Lewis (president of the Welsh Nationalist Party), and Mr D. J. Williams, of Fishguard, gave themselves uo to the Pwllheli police, announcing that the Air Ministry’s new bombing station outside the town was ablaze. The fire brigade, assisted by workmen, prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent bungalows. The Air Ministry says that no Government buildings were damaged, the site of the fire being in the timber contractor’s shed in the armament training camp at Penrhos, where some timber was destroyed. It is recalled that the Welsh Nationalist Party stubbornly opposed the establishment of the aerodrome and the bombing station. The trio will be charged in a special Court.
