THE KING’S LIFE IN DANGER: REVOLVER INCIDENT IN LONDON LAST MONTH.—As the King was returning to Buckingham Palace after a military ceremony in Hyde Park on July 16 a man at Hyde Park Corner produced a revolver and pointed it at his Majesty, but no shot was fired. These photographs show: (1) His Majesty riding at the head of the procession. (2) The commotion in the crowd just after the incident. The arrested man, George Andrew MacMahon, is seen on the left of the photograph being led away by police. (3) His Majesty rides on unperturbed. The Wellington Arch, near where the incident occurred, is in the background. (4) Mr A. G. Dick (right), the special constable who knocked the revolver from the alleged assailant’s hand, being cheered by his fellow-employees.
