MORE AUSTRALIAN MEAT FOR BRITAIN
EFFECT OF NEW AGREEMENT. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 12.45 a.m.) Sydney, August 6. The Acting-Minister of Commerce (Mr Thorby) announced that under the new meat agreement with Britain shipments of Australian meat would increase by 15 per cent., while British imports from foreign countries would be curtailed by 5 per cent.
