SHIPPING SERVICE FROM JAPAN

Y. K. K. LINE TO CONTINUE. (United Press Association.) Wellington, July 22. In answer to a report that there was a likelihood of a discontinuance of the direct shipping service between Japanese ports and New Zealand main ports, the Kobe office of the Yamashita Steam Ship Company (Y. K. K. Line) has cabled its Wellington agents stating that, so far as its line is concerned, it has no intention whatever of discontinuing its service, and that a regular monthly direct service will be maintained between the two countries.
