(United Press Association.) Christchurch, July 22. The Christchurch Boys’ High School beat Waitaki Boys’ High School at Rugby by 19 points to 3 in the annual match. Generally, the standard of play was not high. The Christchurch score consisted of five tries, two of which were converted, and the Waitaki score of a penalty goal. In the Second Fifteens’ match Waitaki won by 11 points to 6. TABLE TENNIS LANDS A v. ALLIANCE A. An A grade table tennis match between Lands A and Alliance A did not prove as closely contested as expected, Lands winning by seven matches to one. Foi' Lands Robson played well to defeat Mcßride, who won the only match for Alliance by defeating a strong player in Louden. Oughton played well throughout, especially against Raper. The Southland Boxing Association has yet another heavyweight to introduce to the Southland boxing public. He is Jack Rainsford, a Sydney heavyweight, who has been matched to fight the winner of the Claude Nichol-de Gans bout which is being staged at Invercargill on August 10. Rainsford has fought most of the heavyweights in Australia in the last year or so. He is an attractive fighter. He is expected in Invercargill before the de Gans-Nichol bout takes place.
