THE CORONATION
Special Commission Appointed (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) London, July 20. With the object of co-operation m the coronation plans his Majesty the King has appointed a special Coronation Commission, comprising representatives of the United Kingdom and the Dominions “which will meet in London to consider aspects of the arrangements which are common concern. The United Kingdom will be represented by the members of the Coordination Committee of the Privy Council. The Australian representatives will be the Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons), the High Commissioner (Mr S. M. Bruce), Sir Isaac Isaacs (a former Governor-General), Sir George Rich and Mr John Austin. New Zealand will be represented by the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) and the High Commissioner (Sir James Parr). His Royal Highness the Duke of York will be chairman. IRISH FREE STATE NOT PARTICIPATING (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.10 p.m.) London, July 21. The Daily Herald says that the President of the Irish Free State (Mr Eamon de Valera) has decided that the Free State cannot officially participate in the coronation, and therefore declined an invitation to appoint a representative to the Coronation Commission.
