The Duke of Bedford, the Duke of Buccleuch, the Duke of Portland, the Duke of Sutherland and the Duke of Westminster, the Marquess of Londonderry, Lord Bledisloe and Lord Hirst are associated with the appeal to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Joseph Chamberlain, the British statesman, on July 8, when a meeting at the Albert Hall will inaugurate a memorial fund to enable a sustained campaign in support of an Imperial Ideals Mission and the need for increasing Empire cooperation in trade, migration, defence and foreign policy, for which they are seeking the co-operation of leaders of industry and agriculture at home and overseas.
