(Rec. 6.30 p.m.) Brisbane, June 13 England defeated Queensland by 19 points to 4 to-day in a game which, though not a brilliant spectacle, revealed the magnificent cover defence of the visitors and the consistency of Hodgson’s goal-kicking. Queensland was quite unable to make any headway against the defence, their few opportunities falling down through faulty handling.
