Central v. Western at Otautau, Mr C. A. Kerse. WEST OTAGO SUB-UNION. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the West Otago Rugby Football Sub-Union was attended by delegates from Kelso, Heriot, Waipahi, Waikoikoi, Waikaka and Tapanui. The secretary of the Waikaka Club wrote stating that his club had decided to play under the West Otago SubUnion, and had entered a team in the senior competition. The secretary of the Eastern Southland Sub-Union wrote stating that the boundary of the Southland Union’s territory was the boundary of the Southland County, and all players inside that must play for a Southland club, unless granted special permission. The permission given to Waikaka to play in West Otago would be cancelled at the end of the present season. The secretary was instructed to write to the Eastern Southland Sub-Union. It was decided to play the match between Tuapeka and West Otago at Tapanui. The secretary of the Otago Referees’ Association recommended that representatives of the districts should ar range a conference with the idea or forming an Otago Country District Re ferees’ Association. The secretary of the Otago Rugby Football Union wrote stating that Messrs A. T. Ottrey and A. Marslin had been appointed selectors for the combined country team. It was decided to hold a trial match at Waikoikoi on June 23 to select a representative team.
