DEFINITION OF TERM “GOLD DIGGER.” (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, June 9. The conference of the Empire Press Union devoted the afternoon to a debate on censorship after an admirable address by Mr Kenneth Anderson, the legal expert of Associated Newspapers, outlining a Bill designed to place libel on the same basis as slander and limiting the scope of “gold digger.” The conference passed a resolution urging Britain and the dominions to legislate on the matter as nearly identically as possible.
