Importers had been advised that the Canadian Challenger would load at Montreal for Bluff on June 30. This ship has now been cancelled and will be substituted by the Canadian Conqueror which is to leave Montreal on June 19 for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due here on August 13. The earlier sailing of the Canadian Conqueror will be welcomed by local importers. GENERAL NOTES. The weather was unpleasant for work on the waterfront yesterday and operations were delayed a little. Both the vessels in port finished working, however, and sailed for the north. . The Tamatea did not make her usual Wednesday run to Stewart Island yesterday Weather permitting she will leave at 10.15 a.m. to-day. instead, and return to Bluff this afternoon. The Blue Star liner Empire Star finished her Southland loading yesterday about midday, and sailed in the late afternoon for L3 The lto Union Company's steamer Karetu completed discharge of her Australian cargo and sailed last evening for Dunedin. The Te Pegasus arrived at mid-night on Tuesday with cased fish from Stewart Island and the Britannia arrived with a similar cargo at 1 a.m. yesterdav. The Shaw. Savill motor ship Wairangi is now to clear Wellington finally at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Southampton and London, via Cape Hom and Las Palmas. The Federal Company has received advice that following the Cambridge, which is to leave New York on June 15 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, there will be the City of Dieppe on July 9 and the Ashburton on July 31, both for Auckland Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
