DRIVING WHILE LICENCE SUSPENDED. (United Press Association.) Wellington, May 21. Recognized and stopped by the police, Leonard Hunter Whitelaw, whose driving licence had been suspended, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today. His counsel said that he had taken his father’s car to pick up a sister, who was in ill-health, and who had been caught in the rain in town. The Magistrate said there was only one punishment for an offence, of this nature, the maximum, and he imposed a fine of £lO and costs.
